How-Tos in Cleaning Different Types of Floors

Cleaning Tile Floors:

Clean tile with detergent, make sure to use mild detergent, and water. It is more preferable to use a rag or a chamois-type mop than a sponge mop.

Cleaning Wooden Floors:

Of course you have to clear the floor first before vacuuming it {you can also dry-mop it instead of vacuuming) to get rid of the dirt and debris. After that, use a damp mop (with water and dish washing liquid) to clean the grain of the wood. Lastly, buff the floor using a clean soft cloth.
*Do not use water if your floors are lacquered or shellacked.

Cleaning Vinyl Floors:

Spray a solution of water and liquid detergent on the floor, make sure to cover the whole surface area. Use a clean mop to scrub the floor, work on the floor small portions at a time. You can do this every 2 to 3 months.

Cleaning Concrete Floors:

When cleaning your concrete floors make sure that you vacuum and dust the surface first to remove the obvious dirt and debris. Use warm water mixed with concrete cleaner to dampen your mop. Lastly, dry your floor with a dry mop; you can also buff it occasionally for it to stay shiny.

Other Floor Surfaces:

Just make sure to sweep or vacuum your floor to remove dirt or dust that can stain your floor.
